I'm happy you're here! For more than 20 years I've been working with individuals and groups to provide space and tools using words and art as catalysts for healing, and now I'm moving us to the other side of pain: joy! And in 2025, I changed the url from "poetryheals" to "the-word-project," which is the name of the company since 2001, to better show the dedication to all forms of writing.

I believe in the power of creativity to bring us out of hard times, to encourage others, to remind us of our sacredness, to pay homage of what was, to pave the way for what is to come, and to honor our divine being. In that work comes space to recognize and live out our healing, our wholeness. Yes, there is weeping, and there is also joy.

There is no other time than now to tap into our greatness and I believe our creativity will lift us to it. Join me on the journey. May I join you on yours? Let's begin, together...

Still on the path,
Jacinta
